You can activate a PresentationPoint license by using go to the product’s About form and click the Activate button. Then you can manually enter the username and password, to activate the license.
For companies with a larger number of PresentationPoint licenses and activations, you might want to activate licenses automatically.
This document will describe what needs to be done for automated license activations. This typically happens when a PresentationPoint is executed for the first time and when the license is not activated yet.
To auto-activate a license, you can insert your username and password settings into the computer’s registry. Whenever an unlicensed PresentationPoint product is started for the first time, the product will try to activate the license over the internet, all without user interaction.
Insert a new value named LicenseUsername as string in the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PresentationPoint\ and as value you enter your PresentationPoint License username, which is typically an email address.
Insert a new value named LicensePassword as string in the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PresentationPoint\ and as value you enter your PresentationPoint License password.
Optionally insert a new value named SilentActivation in the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PresentationPoint\ and as value you enter 1 for a silent license activation without feedback or messages. Default value is a 0 for some feedback on the automatic license activation.
