ProgramType

Set the type of the iPoint player software.

  • DedicatedPlayer - Will auto-start the player software when the computer is logging on. This is the ideal setting for computer in a dedicated digital signage environment. When this option enabled, it will make sure that no program popups are shown and no screen saver will be started automatically.
  • ManualPlayer - This option completely disables the additional actions of the dedicated player. Also you will have to start the iPoint player software manually.
  • Screensaver - This type also completely disables the additional actions of the dedicated player. You can set iPoint Screen saver as your active screen saver in your control panel.

First you install the iPoint player software on a computer. Then you can launch the player software by clicking Start > All Programs > PresentationPoint > iPoint Enterprise Edition > Player. The first time only it will ask you the iPoint server connection properties. You can set the computer name and communication port number of the iPoint server. After that the player software will auto register itself in the iPoint server database and it will start listening for playlist assignments.

ScreenMode

Typically only one screen is connected to a computer. In that case set the ScreenMode option to the default value Normal. Whenever multiple screens are connected to a computer, and not in the event that a graphic card is controlling the multiple monitors, you can set this option to Stretch to stretch a given presentation all over the monitors connected. In that event you can stretch one single image or presentation over all your screens.

  • Normal - Default value to display a playlist on a single monitor.
  • Stretch - Resizes a playlist to be displayed automatically over multiple monitors.
