Online manual of iPoint

iPoint is a complete digital signage solution to create, schedule, distribute and monitor playlists of multimedia files.

Functionality

Create a playlist of your messages and commercials and schedule them to be played on all players in your factory or shops. Basically you first put together a playlist of files and then you assign them to a monitor for a given time.

iPoint Server

The server process is actually running as a Windows service and is validating all request from and to the players. Typically for a Windows service, it only contains business logic to validate all transactions and has no user interface.

The server process is typically installed on a server computer that is practically always up and running.

iPoint Scheduler

This user interfaces connect to the iPoint server and allows you to maintain player, playlist and assignment information for your iPoint environment.

The player has some interesting properties you can set like folder synchronization, auto logon information and much more.

A playlist is a list of files that you should be played in this playlist. You can even place folders in a playlist in order to play all files in that folder without selecting the files individually.

A playlist assignment to a monitor is the step of allocating a playlist to a specific monitor and this playlist will be displayed on the dates and times you specify.

iPoint Player

Runs your scheduled playlists with images and presentations on a large monitor or projector.
