Presenting

After designing dynamic presentation you can start running your dynamic slide shows. You can run a slide show on a monitor or you can distribute an offline presentation to others.

Running a screen saver with MessagePoint Enterprise Edition

Introduction

The combination of DataPoint Enterprise Edition and MessagePoint Enterprise Edition allows you to create dynamic presentations that can run as a screen saver on the client computers.

These products can be used for example to replace an intranet solution with company information. Intranet solutions are passive; the users of the intranet have to initiate a visit which is often not done. With this new screen saver functionality, you can bring your company messages to your staff. After getting a coffee or visiting a meeting, they will see the dynamic messages running on their computer.

Create the presentation

Just start your DataPoint Enterprise Edition and start creating your dynamic presentation as it is explained in this manual.

Run the screen saver

With MessagePoint Enterprise Edition installed on the client computers, you just have to point to this company shared presentation. MessagePoint will start the screen saver functionality as soon as the system becomes idle. The selected presentation will collect all the dynamic information from the various data sources just like DataPoint would do.
